Have you been purchasing bottled water? Did you know that you are spending on an average around $3.50 dollars per gallon of water? Did you know that you are contributing to our 8 billion of disposed plastic water bottles per year? Not only that the quality of water that you drink isn’t any better than what you can get right out of you tap, and we all know that is all that great. Our solution was that we purchased an counter top water filter for our kitchen.

We got ours through Better Water Store an online water filter distributor. They had several models to choose from but we picked the Aquasana AQ-4000 counter top filter for $99.00. This works out around 9 cents a gallon. Quite a significant difference from the $3.50 a gallon for bottled water! Hook up was super simple. They had a short video on their website that explained how to do it, but we really didn’t need to watch it. It took around 3 minutes to hook it up, another 2 or 3 to run the filter and then we were getting filtered water that is better filtered than bottled for a lot less.
