The Medieval Scottish Basket Hilt Broadsword Reminiscent of Legends

The Hanwei Scottish Basket Hilt Broadsword is a medieval sword with a style that is typically Glasgow of the mid 18th century. This sword is a replica of the original Royal Armouries collection in England, where the original blade was marked as “Andrea Ferara”. The original blade was said to be made in Germany which was re-hilted because of the refined basket designs.

The sword can be bought in two finishes, the antiqued and the polished finish. The polished finish is a representation of features that a Basket Hilt would have. The sword needs the least maintenance since it is well crafted with top quality stainless steel which also gives it durability. The antiqued Basket hilt SH2002N patina is of museum quality.

Ray skin is used to create excellent grip for the broadswords while leather covered with fabric is used for the basket liners. Leather is again used to cover the scabbards, and there is a choice of either black or brown. These Scottish swords are crafted for rugged use and were used mainly to strike a blow and destroy offenders, thieves and outlaws.
